How To Get Started With Email Marketing
If you are brand new to email marketing–and you are looking for a way to get started quickly, this article is for you.
With any business, you first need a strong foundation to build upon. Having your own Internet presence is that foundation. I have read that many SEO experts predict that search engines may place great emphasis on sites that are established versus sites that are new. Now is the time to start building your web realestate.
If you have a domain name and hosting account, you should be creating new content for your site as much as possible. Adding fresh articles every day won’t hurt you one bit. Many hosting companies offer wordpress blog software as part of their hosting package. If not, you can download the software for free. This is the software that I use.
If you don’t have a domain name or web site yet; you can still get busy by getting a free blogger blog. This will allow you to start posting your own articles right away.
Blogs are a perfect way to get your feet wet; they are also one of the best ways to get traffic quickly. In order to become a good writer, you need to write! As the Nike commercial says: “just do it!”
You will gradually get better and better at writing. Eventually, writing won’t be that much of a challenge at all. You can then begin creating a list, free report, monetize your sites, or even produce your own information products.
I get emails from established marketers who are just starting to put a blog out. They are starting to realize that blogs rock! Blog posts are extremely search engine friendly. Your posts are instantly transformed into rss feeds. Blogs are also much easier to promote. You can actually get indexed in Yahoo by logging into your my.Yahoo account and subscribing to your own feed. There are tons of other places to announce your blog. I will get a list posted here in a few days.
So if you’re itching to get started with Internet marketing, get a blog and start posting articles. Just do it–you’ll be so glad that you did.
